Elegant Suites Westlake

Elegant Suites is an exceptional property to stay in whilst in Hanoi. It is situated in the desirable Westlake area, a particularly greener and quieter area compared to the Old Quarter. The area surrounding the hotel is extremely safe, there are a number of bars, restaurants, mini markets, hair salons, barbers, motorbike rentals and a short 10 minute walk away is the mall with a larger supermarket and pharmacy. The hotel is only a 10-minute grab car (60,000 VND) from the beating heart of the Old Quarter, which the hotel reception staff will happily assist in organising and directing the key landmarks to visit. The international breakfast had a large variety of European dishes, a fresh fruit section, a fresh omlette station and a fresh Vietnamese station including Pho made to order. The pool, gym and spa are spacious, clean and frequented to by staff for assistance. The rooms itself are in pristine condition with all amenities supplied and restocked daily. All staff throughout the hotel are extremely friendly and speak a good level of english; for those concerned about safety there is also a security guard posted at the hotel gates 24/7. Overall, my stay at Elegant Suites was flawless: I would particularly like to thank the reception staff of Mr Thang, Mr Johnny Nguyen , Mr Tuan Long and Mr Hoang Anh who all went above and beyond throughout my 30 day stay to make everyday amazing! Thank you for such an amazing stay in your wonderful country!

We absolutely loved our stay here. There are so many good things to say about this place that it's hard to know where to start. But I'll start with the staff, who stood out as absolutely exceptional. In particular the staff at reception and concierge went above and beyond several times, from helping to arrange great day trips to restaurant recommendations and bookings, and helping out when our son lost his mobile phone, when they helped with contacting the finder and arranging the pickup. The staff truly deserve praise for exceptional service. The hotel itself is very comfortable, with spacious and comfortable apartment-type rooms with excellent facilities. We found it very good value compared to similar properties in Hanoi. Our kids especially loved the swimming pool, which is pretty large and has excellent surroundings. The included breakfast was also very good. The food in the restaurant was also high quality and reasonably priced. The hotel has a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, which can be very welcome after a day in the hectic chaos of the city center. Before arrival I was a little concerned about the location, and noticed that some reviewers had said that the location is a little strange. I disagree - we absolutely loved the local area around the hotel, which feels like a little village and has a great selection of restaurants, bars, convenience stores, supermarkets, etc. while being relatively quiet and peaceful by Hanoi standards. I'm glad we didn't stay in the Old Quarter, for example, which is fun to explore but is just too crazy for me to feel relaxed there. The Old Quarter is easily reachable by taxi from the hotel - about 20-25 minutes. Installing the Grab app on my phone enabled easy and cheap taxi pickup and return to and from the hotel. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I go back to Hanoi.

Swimming pool was awesome. Rooms spacious with washing machine in the kitchen for holiday washing. Front desk organised a great 4 hour city tour at short notice. When we lost our key they contacted the taxi company and got it back for us. They really went above and beyond to help. Fantastic service.

The breakfast was sensational. The staff are all lovely and very keen to help with any small issue

The staff were very accommodating, they went the extra mile, arranging loving drinks on the roof of their new sister hotel for us as well as transport there and back. The breakfast was fantastic.
